Like Counter Clean, Bathroom Bliss even contains a small amount of Witch Hazel extract, which of course has been used for hundreds of years to soothe skin (rather than harm it!After purchasing a family pack of their original fragrance early in lockdown and finding it kinder to my hands than other brands as well as pleasant smelling, I opted to try their new fragrances too. It is widely known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties and its ability to reduce skin irritations, shrink pores and soothe your skin.

The cleaner is made with essential oils which obviously means the cleaner is scented, but it’s not an overpowering smell like some essential oil based products. They also offer the Spring and Summer Collection, Bathroom Collection, Hand Sanitiser and Accessories. They send you a starter kit of re-usable metal bottle and sachets of crystals you mix with water, the sachet is compostable. Aside from feeling good about the benefits to your health ( see here) and the environment ( see here), we wanted to create products that are a joy to use and promote a sense of wellbeing.I genuinely don’t understand how the tiny spray bottle is supposed to last a month when you clean most days at least. Purdy and Charlotte had extensive knowledge of essential oils and wanted to create a product that exhibited that.

Some (not all) disinfectants are only suitable for pre-cleaned surfaces, as organic matter (such as sweat, soil or fat) may inactivate its antibacterial properties. We avoid using antimicrobial agents that kill bacteria/viruses by targeting specific biological pathways, as this can lead to development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in our homes. Because of the slightly higher acidity levels, we don’t recommend using it on natural stone, wood or porcelain surfaces.Because they are oils they left smears on anything shiny, eg windows, shower screen and laminate worktop. Each 50ml glass bottle contains around 300 uses, and contains over 70% alcohol to ensure effective cleansing, combined with essential oils and witch hazel to calm and protect the skin.
