It’s also the right size to fit in the average handbag (not that I use handbags, I’m a backpack user), for calm on the move/at work/socialising etc. The book is full of colour, beautiful illustrations and quotes that make you smile and just make you feel happy just by opening it.

She’s about to start a new school and I thought it would be a good idea to dip in and out of it over the coming weeks and months. has increased the anxiety levels of the majority of people, with increased health and financial worries due to the global pandemic. Packed with tips, there are different sections so you can try ideas like breathing exercises and easy visualisation, as well as activities and options to get kids thinking. In this empowering new tool for self-care, popular artist and author Meera Lee Patel presents a fresh approach to feeling better. These thoughtful and beautifully illustrated journal pages are a safe space for reflection, insight, and the freedom to move forward with more clarity and joy.In this crazy busy day and age, everyone has a vision of how life should be, it’s constant, fast flowing and stressful. We all need something like this in the modern world - an opportunity to step away from the screens, to pick up a pen and take some time out for our self. I'm seeing the gifts and positives that 2020 has given me - even though it has been utterly rubbish! This interactive journal will keep its users mindful, self-motivated, and creative in our world which can so often push us towards unproductive habits and downright chaos. It has given her the tools she needs to put her worries and anxieties into context and has shown her ways to help manage her anger. This is the first time I have encountered Meera Lee Patel’s artwork and I have to admit that I have fallen in love with the soothing tones of muted water coloured quotes and illustrations.

Meera has created a beautiful companion for anyone who wants to work on overcoming their anxieties and find the belief in themselves that they so deserve. I have been sent a digital copy of the journal to review, so I am going to share my overview of what to expect. Not just for kids either, I've picked up a few tips myself - who doesn't need extra ways to stay calm right now?

How this book made me feel: I was very interested to check out this journal because I wanted to find out more about anxiety and how to deal with it. She spoke briefly about anxiety related to political landscapes and social economics and I was worried this was turning into a political monologue. The book is full of powerful and meaningful quotes and it's a self help book I feel honoured to now own and look forward to working through it on my journey in 2021. It doesn’t put too much pressure on and the fact that you can dip in and out of it is great - I’m not one for filling something in daily as I end up forgetting and then feel guilty for doing so! Brought for a friend who struggles with anxiety at times, found this after looking and looking and I am told I picked a good book here, they have found it helps gets them out of the anxiety mind set so might have to get one for myself now.

This is a lovely self help book which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others suffering from anxiety or who would like some calm in their life. This interactive journal will keep its users mindful, self-motivated, and creative in our world which can so often push us towards unproductive habits and downright chaos. has been such a difficult year, full of uncertainties for so many people and I think we have all been forced to look at our own mental health and how we protect it and I do think that this type of book is one way of helping to manage those feelings and I would encourage anyone to give it a go. I could see how it could help by working through all the exercises which make you think about your current situation. Thank you to the publisher and the author for the chance to read this title in exchange for an honest review. In my work life, I work with young people, encouraging them to reflect on their past work and achievements and values before looking forward to their future. I liked the way the book is organised - brief sections with apt quotes and concise descriptions of the topic and ideas for handling it well.
