It takes just 4 easy steps to secure your cantilever and ensure you are using the parasol safely and correctly: There is a brilliant built-in drainage system which prevents you from having to open the louvred roof to let water drain. Any rainwater that lands on the louvres flows into U-shaped channels. From here, the water flows from the roof and into channels in the pergola framework. Once in the horizontal framework, the rainwater will then flow into the inside of the hollow pergola legs and vertically down to the ground. This genius system means that you'll never see the water draining off of the pergola. If you were to open the louvres when wet, the U-shaped channels prevent rainwater from dripping under the sheltered area, and getting your garden furniture wet

Centre pole parasols are classics. They offer less manoeuvrability than a cantilever parasol, but they are available in sizes well-suited for shading smaller areas. The main advantage of a centre pole parasol is the stability it offers. Its mast is in the middle of the canopy and its centre of gravity lies here. This makes it more resistant to strong winds and reduces the risk of your parasol being blown over. On sunny days, close your umbrella after each use. In winter, store it in a dry place. Wrap your umbrella in a storage bag or an old dry cloth; absolutely avoid plastic storage. PARASOL MAINTENANCE
Cantilever parasols have their mast on the side. This allows for more space and removes an obstacle from the seating area. You can rotate your cantilever parasol 360 degrees and tilt its canopy to adjust the amount of sun exposure you want to receive. Compared to a standard centre pole parasol, a cantilever parasol covers a larger shaded area. If you have guests over for a barbecue, you can ensure all of them are shaded from the sun when dining al fresco. Cover your garden table or create a large, shaded play area for children without the limitations of a central mast.
