About this deal

The MEM mode provides signals such as A0, RD# and WR# etc. Which is similar to the memory read/write mode. Since the Windows tool has severe issues with some chips and doesn’t have an auto-verification system, your best bet is to do the flash from a Linux computer. If you don’t have one, you can use the instructions in the following paragraphs to set up a Live USB with Linux (a Live USB is one which contains an OS you can boot from and use as a normal computer). If you do have a Linux system already, you can skip to the next part of the guide. CH341SER.ZIP– archive containing driver files and serial API and library (you don’t need specific API for standard serial port, but it contains some special functions to get IC version etc.) Before flashing a new ROM image, it is highly advisable that you dump the current chip contents to a file. Seperti Software Programmer versi 1.13 dan 1.4.0, software ini pun masih bersifat portabel jadi anda tak perlu meng-install di laptop atau komputer anda, anda cukup membuka folder file CH341A V. 1.1.1.33 kemudian pilih Software CH341A V. 1.1.1.33 dan klik 2X atau klik kanan kemudian Pilih Run as administrator untuk menjalankan softwarenya, atau lebih gampangnya anda bisa membuat shortcut atau menampilkannya ke layar desktop anda, icon software Programmer CH341A version 1.1.1.33 supaya bisa dengan mudah membuka dan menjalankan tanpa harus membuka folder penyimpanan, caranya;

So both ASProgrammer 1.41 and Flashrom are the only ones that seems to be working from start to finish, but for some reason that I can’t understand, the Motherboard refuses to react to the BIOS Chip as you saw in the video above.

NOTE: debian, arch or void can be written instead of ubuntu2004. the debian script is also applicable to newer ubuntu versions ./update trees -b flashrom

For boards with more than one flash chip you will need to read from both chips and combine them into a single file. Most of the time, a two chip setup includes one 8mb ‘bottom’ chip and one 4mb ‘top’ chip. The setup just described applies to the x230, t430, t530, and t440p. For other boards, make sure you know which chip contains the lower and upper portions of the rom. You can combine both flashes together with cat for example: cat bottom_8mb.rom top_4mb.rom > full_12mb.rom It may be beneficial to modify the mainboard so that the SPI flash is powered (on the VCC pin) through a diode, but please note: a diode will cause a voltage drop. The tolerated range for a chip expecting 3.3V VCC is usually around 2.7V to 3.6V DC, and the drop may cause the voltage to fall outside that. If you do this, please also ensure that the WP and HOLD pins are still held to a high logic state; each via their own resistor (1K to 10K ohms) connected to the same power source going through the diode. Once unsoldered, it will be necessary to mount the small integrated circuit sold with the SPI CH341A mini programmer, and to weld the two small jumper on the center where the figures are indicated. Emulate standard UART interface, used to upgrade the original serial peripheral or expand additional UART via USB.CH341PAR.ZIP - archive containing driver files for interface mode and API (header and library to access the device and use any protocol you want). First, connect just the Pico to your computer with a micro-USB cable. Mount it like any other USB flash drive. If it isn’t detected, you might need to press the BOOTSEL button while you plug it in (this forces it into the bootloader mode). We will be using the flashrom software which is written to dump, erase and rewrite these flash chips.

THIS README IS UNDER HEAVY DEVELOPMENT. Do not use it until its done! CH341A-drivers-software-and-documentation Supports UART transmit enable, UART receive ready rate control signals and so on, and common MODEM interface signals. The CH341 chip supports a 5V supply voltage or a 3.3V supply voltage. When using a 5V supply voltage, the VCC pin of the CH341 chip inputs an external 5V power supply, and the V3 pin should be externally connected with a power supply decoupling capacitor of 0.01uF to 0.1uF. When working with 3.3V voltage, the V3 pin of the CH341 chip should be connected to the VCC pin, and an external 3.3V power supply is input, and the CH341 core is connected. If it says “VERIFIED” or says that the chip contents are identical to the requested image, then the chip is properly flashed. Even without the BIOS chip on the board (at all), something should happen when you press power button, so if that’s not happening without the chip there then there is some other issueRun this command to see if 25xx flash is detected, with your RPi properly wired. sudo ./flashrom -p linux_spi:dev=/dev/spidev0.0,spispeed=32768 That, or something else on the board is friend./shorted and the BIOS is not the issue. What happens exactly when you try to start the board? I am on limited internet, so can’t watch the video right now.
